Don Danz

Education: Don attended the University of Illinois obtaining a degree in Philosophy in 1989 with a minor in Math/Physics. He received his law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law (1992) where he was on the Energy Law Journal and was a Legal Research Teaching Assistant. He then obtained a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (1993).

Practice Areas: Don is an experienced insurance defense litigator including coverage and bad faith issues as well as transactional matters. The last twenty years he has concentrated on legal research, motion/brief writing, and appellate practice.

Experience: Don has nearly 30 years of successful litigation experience in Oklahoma state and federal courts and has represented clients throughout Oklahoma and surrounding states. Don’s legal experience includes practicing in private law firms in Oklahoma City and Tulsa and as in-house counsel for an Oklahoma based insurance company.

Don is currently admitted to practice in Oklahoma and the Cherokee, Choctaw, and Muskogee (Creek) Nation Tribal Courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Northern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the Supreme Court of the United States, and United States Tax Court. He was previously admitted to practice in Kansas, Missouri, and Minnesota. He is a member of Tulsa County Bar Association, Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel, and the Oklahoma Bar Association where he is a Past Chairperson of the Tax Section and the Founding Editor of the Section's Tax Journal.

 

Don has been practicing law since 1992. He was born in Bangkok, Thailand, and grew up in the Chicago suburbs.
